Using the Receipts and Payments, it is possible to manually issue the receipts for the open invoice requests, as well as correct a customer payables and receivables by issuing the payment note.

Issue receipts

Despite not having the same meaning as an invoice, a receipt is a document that confirms that an item or service was purchased/sold. On Invoicing Engine, you can issue receipts when creating an invoice if you select the Cash Invoice type.

However, to include all possible scenarios, you can access the Receipts and Payments area and issue the receipts for the open invoice requests, besides being able to view the history for all receipts issued. You can also issue batch receipts for the same customer.

To issue a customer receipt, follow these steps:

  1. Access Receipts and Payments | Receipts;
  2. Click Create;
  3. Identify the customer name/code on the field Party;
    Note: The remaining fields are automatically filled in, but you can edit them;
  4. Click Apply to list the open documents;
  5. Select the desired documents. To specify a discount, if applicable;
  6. Click Generate;
  7. Fill in the field Financial Account;
  8. Validate the remaining fields;
  9. Finally, click Save and Send.

Generating payments

To correct a customer's receipts and payments, you must issue a payment note and ensure the customer accounts adjustment.

To create payment notes, follow these steps:

  1. Access Receipts and Payments | Payments;
  2. Click Create;
  3. Fill in the field Party;
    Note: The fields Currency and Payment Type are automatically filled in, but I can edit them;
  4. Confirm the information and include data regarding the payment;
  5. Click Generate.

On the generated document, you can confirm all information and include data regarding the payment method and the withholding. Finally, you must select Save to save the changes made.
