How to add messages to a work order?

The maintenance manager and technician can add follow-up messages in the context of a work order.

To add a new message, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Work | Work Orders;
  2. Select the desired work order;
  3. Click Edit;
  4. On the Follow-up tab, click the + symbol and add the desired message;
  5. In the Visible To field, set the visibility of the message:
    • Everyone (default option): the message will be visible to everyone involved in the WO, such as maintenance managers, assigned employees, and the creator of the request. The message will also be copied to associated requests.
    • Maintenance Team: the message will only be visible to the user who created it, maintenance managers, or assigned technicians. The message will only remain in the work order.
  6. Click Save.

Messages will be visible to all users configured in the Visible To option.

Once saved, the message cannot be deleted or changed.
