Through requests, an organization's employees can request maintenance actions on equipment, tools or locations.  These  maintenance requests, usually referred to as HelpDesk requests, allow the maintenance teams to respond to different requests  by creating Corrective work orders.

Create or associate WO

To create or associate an existent work order to a request, select the option "Work | Request Management".
  1. The list of Request Management will be displayed;
  2. Select the request you wish to create or associate a work order;
  3. The work order creation or association window screen is presented with the following request data filled in:
    1.  Description
    2. equipment/tool/location
    3. priority level
    4. Remarks
  4. Set up the remaining fields;
  5. Press the button "Create WO" or "Link to existing WO".
When creating an work order associated to a request, you must consider:
  1. If the Request is classified with a shutdown operation state and is or has been in a shutdown start state, the downtime  record will be created.
  2. The shutdown start state is the date of the first request state transition to a state that starts a downtime.
  3. If when creating the Work Order, the operations state and/or the option to apply shutdown to children is changed, the user will be notified.
  4. If the Request has visible messages to "All", these will be copied to the Work Order.
The WO is created on the start state. The user that made the maintenance request has access to the associated WO information, priority level and expected end date on the request context dashboard. When adding a request to an existent WO, you must  consider:
  1. If there is no shutdown record associated to the Work Order and if the Request is classified with a shutdown operation  state and is or has been in a shutdown start state, the downtime record will be created.
  2. The shutdown start state is the date of the first request state transition to a state that starts a downtime.
  3. If when associating the Work Order, the operations state and/or the option to apply shutdown to request children is different from the Work Order, the user will be notified.
Only the work orders with the same request asset or location are presented.
If the request is created without an asset, you can select any work order and the selected asset will be reflected on the associated request.
The user that made the maintenance request has access to the associated WO information, priority level and expected end date on the request context dashboard.
