The authentication process ensures that only authorised individuals, services and applications, with the appropriate permissions, can access the product.

In this context, it is possible to use the authentication type in the ERP via the Cegid Account to:

centralise the authentication logic;
strengthen security practices for accessing the solution;
enable two-factor authentication (2FA);
integrate different connected products and services;
take advantage of federation mechanisms;
improve the user experience.

When the authentication type Cegid Account only is not enabled, it is still possible to log in using a Cegid Account, in addition to the standard authentication method (both authentication methods are available in the login window).

User authentication via Cegid Account supports the same features as the Authentication via Cegid Account only.

Note: To improve performance for this operation, the browser set as the default must be up to date.

Enabling the Cegid Account only authentication type is irreversible, and this will become the only authorised authentication type.

Logging in with a Cegid Account requires an internet connection at all workstations.
