How do Work Order assignments work?

Assignments allow you to identify who can carry out the Work Order. There are two types of assignments:
  • Automatic: defined in the type of Work Order, by going to Settings | Work | Work Order Types;
  • Manual: made directly in the Work Order, via the Assign option.
Operating Rules
  • Only technicians can be assigned to work orders;
  • A technician must always belong to the workshop in order to be assigned to a Work Order;
  • The workshop manager must also be a workshop technician to be assigned to a Work Order.

As only technicians carry out work, in order for a manager to be assigned to a Work Order, they must be added as a technician in the workshop.
