The creation of Assets is a critical step for the configuration of the system. These are the assets which will be subject to maintenance.
Types of Assets
Valuekeep supports these types of assets, under the menu option Assets:
- Locations;
- Equipment;
- Tools;
- Routes.
To create an equipment/tool, select the option Assets | Equipment or Assets | Tool:
- The list of equipment or tools is presented;
- On the list, press the button "create".
There are a few rules to edit assets, among them:
- It is only possible to edit the service date if there is no failure or down time reports.
- Working time (hours per day): You can only insert values between 0 and 23:59:59.
- When creating a new asset, this is placed as "Available" and the "Service Date" is set as the current day.
- If the asset was not created as Available, after the Service Date, the asset is placed automatically as available.
- To automatically make it available, you must select the option "Definitions | Work | Background Services" and activate the Downtime.
- You can define which spare parts are used in an asset and the corresponding quantity.
- If you change the base unit of the spare part for an asset that change will only be reflected on new records or on existing records, if you are changing those
