The Contacts and Opportunities module framed in the ERM/CRM solutions allows to transform data dispersed in useful and organized information. This way, we can have a global vision of all interactions (activities and contacts) with the different entities related to the organization.
Concerning customers and potential customer, it also allows to manage the sales cycle associated to the sales opportunities, as well as viewing the corresponding pipeline.
Preferences
In this utility, available in Marketing & Sales | Contacts and Opportunities | Resources | Preferences, the suggestion data configuration is defined in Contacts and Opportunities.
Next, we present the description several options:
Tab Contacts and Opportunities
- Entity in the Sales Opportunities editor by default: When creating a new Sales Opportunity, we suggest the entity defined in this field;
- Fill in with the Contact details: By relating a contact to a specific entity, the system fills in automatically the corresponding contact details;
- Don't fill in: By relating a contact to a specific entity, the system does not fill in any data.
Tab Activities
- Activity Date: When creating a collection activity, the system suggests the same activity date;
- Open item settlement date: When creating a collection activity, the system suggests the open item settlement date;
- Remind before: Time in advance to which the activity will be recorded;
- Start: Suggestion for the activity starting hour;
- Duration: Activity duration;
- Recurrence: Activity recurrence;
- Occurrence: Days/Month in which the activity occurred;
- Start (Validity): Activity start date
- Ends on: Activity end day.
Features
- Definition of Customer, Suppliers, Other Creditor and Debtor entities that will feed the Contacts and Opportunities modules.
- External Entities Creation. This type of entity represents all Potential Customers, Competitors or another type of entity;
- Definition of all information that will feed the CRM module:
- Contacts;
- Types of Contacts;
- Types of Activities;
- Sales Cycles for the Sales Opportunities;
- Creation of contacts in the Contacts and Opportunities module, that can later be integrated with the different ERP entities. In all entities maintenance files, it is possible to find a context menu (CRM) that allows to easily integrate the entity with the Contacts and Opportunities module;
- Creation of activities, association with the entities and possibility to integrate with Microsoft Outlook, considering that the Outlook integration depends on the type of activity created;
- Creation of Sales Opportunities.
CRM is an abbreviation of “Customer Relationship Management” which means that it all revolves around the customers and potential customers. ERM (Entity Relationship Management) allows to extend the concept of relationship management to other entities for the ERP, for example Suppliers, Employees, etc.
